DMCA Policy for Nebraska Girls State Basketball

Nebraska Girls State Basketball respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), the text of which may be found on the U.S. Copyright Office website at https://www.copyright.gov/legislation/dmca.pdf, we will respond expeditiously to notices of alleged infringement that are reported to our designated copyright agent.

This policy describes the information that should be present in a DMCA notification and counter-notification. It is designed to make submitting notices of alleged infringement to Nebraska Girls State Basketball as straightforward as possible while reducing the number of notices that are false or difficult to understand.

Filing a DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement

If you are a copyright owner, or are authorized to act on behalf of one, or authorized to act under any exclusive right under copyright, please report alleged copyright infringements taking place on or through the Nebraska Girls State Basketball website (nebraskagirlsstatebasketball.org) by completing the following DMCA Notice of Alleged Infringement and delivering it to our designated copyright agent.

  3. Contact Information of the Complaining Party: Provide your contact information, including your full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
  4. Statement of Good Faith Belief: Include a statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
  5. Statement Under Penalty of Perjury: Include a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner, or authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.
  6. Electronic or Physical Signature: Provide your electronic or physical signature (typing your full legal name is sufficient for an electronic signature).

DMCA Counter-Notification Procedure

If you believe that your material has been removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notification with us by submitting a written request to our copyright agent containing the following information:

  • Contact Information: Provide your name, address, and telephone number.
  • Statement of Consent to Jurisdiction: Include a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located (or if you are outside the U.S., for any judicial district in which Nebraska Girls State Basketball may be found), and that you will accept service of process from the person who provided the original DMCA notification or an agent of such person.
  • Electronic or Physical Signature: Provide your electronic or physical signature (typing your full legal name is sufficient for an electronic signature).
